How to Make Your Beard Soft, Full, and Strong
Strengthen Your Beard with These Tips and Products
I think you'll agree with me when I say it's tough to grow a strong, healthy beard.
The good news is that it's pretty easy to treat dry skin under your beard, itchiness, dandruff or even beard split ends.
In today's post I'm going to show you how to do just that.
Diet
Your body needs a balance of proteins, carbs, and fat in order to perform vital functions and keep you energetic.
You also need a variety of vitamins and nutrients in order to have a strong beard.
Essential nutrients for strong beards
Experts agree that the essential vitamins for hair health are A, D, E, K, C and the B-complex group. These vitamins should be consumed through food rather than supplements to receive the maximum benefits.
In other words, be sure to eat plenty of fruits, veggies, leafy greens, and clean sources of protein like nuts and oily fish.
And drink plenty of water.
Beard Trimming Tips
Getting your beard trimmed regularly help strengthen your beard a couple of ways.
1. If you suffer from patchiness in your cheeks or elsewhere, it's best to not trim those areas but trim around them.
This helps the length of your patchy areas catch up to the rest of your beard and make it appear fuller overall.
2. Getting regular beard trims is a great way to keep your beard split ends to a minimum.
We recommend having your beard trimmed whenever you go for a haircut. But if you would rather trim your beard yourself at home, don't be afraid to ask your barber if he has any trimming tips for your beard.
Combing your beard
A cheap drugstore comb is not suitable for beards and will cause your hair to break. Similarly, wooden beard combs will eventually splinter and cause beard split ends.
We recommend Kent's sawcut beard combs. Sawcut combs glide through your beard smoothly without any pulls or tears.
Kent has been making combs since the 1700's and are simply the best.
The Best Beard Care Products for Getting A Soft Beard
When it comes to washing your beard, it's important that you remove debris without stripping your hair of its protective oils. This can be achieved by using a beard shampoo 2-3 times per week. Note: shampooing your beard too often will make it too dry.
Since your face is much more sensitive than your scalp you should always use a gentle beard shampoo rather than a harsh regular shampoo.
Follow up with a hydrating beard conditioner and a beard oil.
Beard oil is a great way to add vitamins and nutrients to your beard while keeping it soft, moisturized, and free of frizz.
Beard and Company's Beard Strength Oil is a powerful blend of all-natural essential oils that are full of vitamins and minerals to make your beard strong and healthy.
What’s in it? Essential oils for maximum beard strength and softness
Geranium oil is prized for its ability to promote cell growth by removing dead cells. This is key for improving beard health.
It is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids thanks to almond oil and argan oil. This is key for keeping your beard strong.
And thanks to jojoba and argan oils, your beard will stay nice and soft.
